Photo 3 | JST Video Wall: The JST DisplayWall keeps the operators in the production control center of IT.NRW informed about the most important events in real time. This is made possible by JST's PixelDetection® software - proactive alerting software that sends the right information to the right place at the right time based on pre-determined reference values.
Photo 4 | JST Video Wall: Behind the DisplaySuit's stainless steel design strips, the AlarmLight provides visual alarms for employees. The proactive PixelDetection® monitoring software enables early alarm detection thanks to automatic source activation. Advantage: reaction times are clearly reduced.
Photo 5 | JST Furniture: The topic "ergonomics” also played an important role for project manager Paul Große-Venhaus when furnishing the new control room. Here for example by back-friendly desks. The Stratos X11® OperatorDesk's height adjustment up to standing height makes it possible to change posture and thus prevent health problems.
Photo 6 | JST Operator desk: The special Stratos X11® OperatorDesks are equipped with inspection flaps for spacious supply rooms…

Photo 9 | JST DisplayWall®: Perfect in design and finish - the DisplayWall® Design strips with high-quality aluminum brushed surface and the AlarmLight give the large screen the unmistakable JST look.
Photo 10 | JST large screen wall: Visually and technically a successful solution: The JST DisplaySuit with brushed aluminum surfaces offers perfect possibilities for service accessibility without interruption of operation as a basis for the proven QuickOut mounting system, where individual displays can be easily pushed forward by light pressure on the outer edges!
Photo 11 | JST FrontAccess: With the QuickOut mounting system, individual displays can be pulled out for inspection during operation.
Photo 12 | JST Conference room: With the special AllMedia conference table system, employees have access to all data from the production control room during meetings. This is made possible by the integrated MultiConsoling® system, which makes all retrievable sources on monitors, large-screen displays and projectors immediately available and operable.
Photo 13 | JST Conference room: Even in the conference room, the AllMedia conference table was equipped with the colored AlarmLight, which visually informs the employees immediately about possible disturbances in case of an emergency.
Photo 14 | JST meeting room: Via MultiConsoling® all data of the production control center can be accessed on the video wall in the conference room. The Control room control system is used there for meetings and training sessions, for example, but also in crisis situations.
Photo 15 | JST Conference table: Created exclusively for JST by leading furniture designers: the AllMedia Multifunction table. Thanks to integrated connector panels, notebooks and other devices can be connected directly to the AllMedia meeting table.
Photo 16 | JST Conference Table: The AlarmLight on the AllMedia conference table system can be adjusted as desired and thus contributes to a pleasant working atmosphere.
Photo 17 | JST Conference Table: Practical feature of the AllMedia conference table: Power Port Data Boxes which, when closed, are flush-mounted in the brushed aluminum strips of the meeting table and thus blend in harmoniously with the design.
Photo 18 | JST conference table: The Power-Port-Date-Boxes enable employees to use desired power supply connections comfortably directly at the conference table.
Photo 19 | JST conference room: In addition to the four 46 inch displays with ultra-slim frames, the conference room at IT.NRW also has a large LC display measuring 80 inches - a diagonal of more than two meters. Ideally suited for larger overview displays.
Photo 20 | JST Furniture: Perfect in design and finish. Below the DisplayRack, with which even the large 80 inch display can be easily moved, a media board is located. Not only does this offer storage space, but it has also been equipped with the JST AlarmLight.
Photo 21 | JST Control Room: Technology without borders. Here for example the control of an external video conference system via a tablet.
Photo 22 | JST MultiConsoling®: With the graphical MultiConsoling user interface myGUI® the consoles of the operators desks and the large screen wall are shown as “Control room image”. All required sources are shown on the side and can be dragged and controlled by the operator via customizable icons onto any screen at the workstation or large screen wall with a simple mouse click.
Photo 23 | JST MultiConsoling®: The entire control room technology in the conference room is also controlled via myGUI®, the graphical user interface for the JST-MultiConsoling®. This technology has the advantage that any source can be displayed in real time on the workstation monitors, on individual large-screen displays or as a BigPicture across several large-screen displays. Another special feature: One mouse and keyboard per seat is all that is needed to operate everything in real time.
Photo 24 | JST Login Software: Revolutionary solution for fast and above all secure login and logout processes. With the myLogin® software the login directly at the workstation via chip card is possible in a very uncomplicated way.
Highest security and availability for the IT production control center
IT know-how combined with expert knowledge of administrative processes – that is what makes the state IT.NRW (Information and Technology North Rhine-Westphalia). The specialists of the IT service provider support and optimize the processes in authorities and institutions of the state administration of NRW with their work. The state chancellery and ministries as well as the state parliament and the state audit office make use of the services. The highest safety requirements are the basis for all activities here. This is especially true for the Production control room (PLS), which was completely refurbished in cooperation with the experts from JST – Jungmann Systemtechnik®.
“With the new building, we want to provide 24/7 availability and, in particular, fault processing for IT services with gold or silver SLAs (Service Level Agreement), even outside regular working hours,” explains Paul Große-Venhaus, project manager for the construction of the IT control center, production manager and head of unit 413 (production control center and service desk) at IT.NRW. When selecting a partner for this task, the IT specialists were particularly concerned about security.
"JST has best met requirements”
The project manager: “During the official tender, JST best met our requirements. The subsequent collaboration then confirmed our decision”. During a visit to the JST control room simulator the people of Düsseldorf could convince themselves of the range of services offered by the control room professionals.
Intensive discussions to determine the key data
The most important key data were discussed in intensive talks. This also included the desire for IP-less connections and individual adjustments to the various hardware and software solutions. “We liked this productive cooperation; especially the flexibility with which we reacted to our requirements and problems,” the project manager recalls.
"I only want to see when something turns red"
For example, IT service providers have never been interested in solutions for conventional system monitoring, where each server is assigned a display. On the contrary: “We are not a classic control room with hundreds of monitors”, says the project manager, “I don’t want to see green displays, I just want to see when something turns red”. PixelDetection® from JST, the answer to this requirement is alarm software that allows the operator to carry out his activities while the program monitors the systems in the background according to previously defined parameters. If there are any deviations, the software proactively reports to the control center employee. Production manager Große-Venhaus: “That was a very important reason for us to choose JST. PixelDetection® is a really interesting solution that no other company could offer us during our search”.
More flexibility with MultiConsoling®
The project manager is similarly positive about other special products from Jungmann Systemtechnik. Among them for example the JST-MultiConsoling®, a technology with which all information can be accessed from every workstation.
Special benefit: relevant data available everywhere
This means that relevant data can be displayed not only at the operator workstations and on the large screen wall in the control room, but also in the adjacent conference room. There it says next to the JST AllMedia conference table system another video wall is available, which is used by employees for meetings, training and also in a possible crisis situation. All data from the production control center can also be accessed there via the MultiConsoling®.
Location-independent access to control center technology
And that’s not all: In order for IT.NRW to be able to provide its services at any time and from any location, the correspondingly authorized employees can login via the JST software solution myLogin® for example also log into the system from their home workstations and access all data of the control room. Paul Große-Venhaus: ” We have created a way of accessing the control center technology from any location via the highly secure NRW teleworking infrastructure”.
