Solution for command and situation center and for crisis situations
When it came to setting up a new monitoring room at a Siemens site in southern Germany, the specialists from JST – Jungmann Systemtechnik® first had to prove to the IT expert that you were the first choice among possible suppliers. Today, he looks back on this first phase of getting to know each other and comes to the conclusion: “That was just right”.
At the beginning of the project, a visit to the Buxtehude control room simulator from JST was on the schedule for the Siemens delegation. “And that’s exactly where the penny dropped, ” recalls the Siemens overall IT project manager. “There we could try out everything in peace, were allowed to play with the technique. It was just great.”
The Siemens delegation was particularly impressed by the JST – MultiConsoling®, a technology that enables computer signals with keyboard, video, mouse, audio signals and cameras to be flexibly displayed on monitors at the workplace or on the large display wall: “This technology is safe, simple and intuitive – that’s convincing. We can control all systems and completely different sources”.
With this solution, JST was able to meet the customer’s requirements perfectly. The new monitoring room is to be used multifunctionally: On the one hand as a conference and meeting room, on the other hand as a representation possibility for visitor groups and last but not least as a guidance and situation center for crisis situations.
With a view to these various possibilities of use, Jungmann Systemtechnik thought of everything when equipping the system: In addition to the MultiConsoling®, a large display wall was installed, which is controlled by a special control desk. The customer comments: “An ideal concept – technology and furniture all from one source. You have a fixed contact person who understands what the customer wants and implements this perfectly”.
